Gridfinity is open
Gridfinity was created by Zack Freedman and released for anyone to use, remix and build on. A huge community has added to it since. VERTEX by Mint Motive is one of those community tools, and it is built to give back.
Everything you make here is public domain
- Models you generate, download or share on this site are released under CC0 1.0: public domain, no rights reserved.
- Anyone may print, change, remix, share or sell them, for any purpose, without asking and without paying.
- Nobody, including Mint Motive, can claim copyright over them or stop anyone else using them.
- When you share a model to the community, you confirm you made it here (or have the right to share it) and that you release it under CC0.
Credit is kind, not required
You do not have to credit anyone. It is still nice to link back to the model, its maker or this site when you post a remix on MakerWorld, Printables or elsewhere.
What is not free
The Mint Motive name and logo are trademarks. They are not part of the public-domain release: please do not use them to suggest a product or site is made or endorsed by Mint Motive. The small mark on models can be switched off where allowed.
Community rules
- Be kind. Critique designs, not people.
- Only share models made with this site.
- No spam, scams, hate, harassment or adult content.
- Do not game points (fake accounts, like trading or comment spam). Points gained this way are removed.
- Moderators may remove comments or models and block accounts that break these rules. Every action they take is recorded.
The code and MotiveMesh
The generators and this website are released under CC0 too. If you want to build on them, go ahead.
MotiveMesh, Mint Motive's storage system, is an open standard in the public domain: the specification, the design brief, the design guidelines, the reference models and MotiveMorph are all CC0. Anyone may make, sell and call their parts "MotiveMesh compatible" if they meet the specification.
