Everything from your first bin to a drawer full of tool inserts.

Make a bin

  1. Open Create → Bin, or start from a preset.
  2. Set the width and depth in grid units (42 mm each) and the height in 7 mm units.
  3. Add columns and rows for compartments. Finger scoops round off the front of each row; label shelves add a ledge at the back.
  4. Turn on Lite mode for hollow feet and a thin floor.
  5. Add magnet or screw holes under Base if your baseplate has them.
  6. Press Download (3MF or STL) and open it in your slicer.

Fit a drawer

Measure the inside of the drawer. In Baseplate, set Size by to Drawer size and enter the width and depth. We fit as many whole cells as we can.

  • Fill the gap to the drawer walls adds a solid border so the plate cannot slide. Turn it off if you would rather use the gap for something else.
  • Grid position puts the spare room evenly on both sides, or all on one side.

Split a plate for your printer

  1. In Baseplate, turn on Split to fit my printer.
  2. Pick your printer from the list (search by name, e.g. “a1 mini”), or choose Custom size and type your bed size. Add a margin if your bed can't print to the edge.
  3. Choose Evenly for tiles as equal as possible (12 cells become 6 + 6), or Largest tiles first.
  4. Choose Bowtie clips to lock tiles together (Lite or Solid styles), or Nothing to butt them together. The exact number of clips is shown, and you can add spares.
  5. Press ZIP to get every tile and the clip sheet as separate files plus a read-me with the layout, or Download for one 3MF with every part.
  6. Print, lay the tiles face down, press a clip into each bowtie socket, and flip the plate into the drawer.

Magnets and weights

For bins, choose Holes in the feet: magnets, M3 screws or both. Crush ribs hold magnets without glue. For plates, choose the Solid style and turn on Magnet holes and/or Weight pockets. See the guide for magnet polarity.

Labels

In Bin, open Labels. Put the shelf left, centre, right or full width, at the back or front, and set how far it sticks out. The underside is angled (45° by default), so it prints without supports. Type one label per line (or separate them with |), back row first, left to right. The text is a separate part: in Bambu Studio, give it a second filament colour.

Want labels you can move? Use the Labels tab. Clip-on labels hook over a wall or divider. Set the wall thickness they clip onto and the face angle, then print them on their side.

Movable dividers

In Movable dividers, choose how many slots to add along each direction. The bin gets slots in its walls, and the download includes the divider plates as separate parts. Print a few extra and rearrange them whenever you like.

Holders

In Holder, pick what you are storing (AA, AAA, 18650, hex bits, SD cards and more) or choose Custom and type a size. Fill a bin with as many as fit, or ask for an exact number and the bin is sized for you. Staggered rows pack round items tighter.

For the lightest possible holder, set Pockets to Thin walls only. Each pocket gets a thin tube in place of a solid block, which uses a fraction of the plastic. Turn on the Stacking lip to stack holders on top of each other.

Boards and soldering

Holder includes solder wick, 5 and 10 ml flux syringes, flux pens, solder tubes and T12 tips (try the Flux + wick preset), and comb slots for jumper wires.

For Arduinos, ESP32s, Raspberry Pis and breadboards, choose how they sit. Standing on edge gives slots that hold many boards side by side. Laid flat gives a tray for a single board. Turn on the stacking lip and the trays stack on each other. Boards vary, so measure yours and adjust if needed.

Trace your tools

  1. Put a sheet of plain paper on a darker surface and lay your tools on it, a finger-width apart.
  2. Take one photo from straight above with the whole sheet in view, in soft light.
  3. Open Tool trace, choose the photo and the paper size.
  4. Check the four corner handles sit on the corners of the paper.
  5. Remove any outlines that are not tools, set each pocket's depth and click to add finger notches. Logged in? Press Run to let AI name the tools and suggest depths.
  6. Press Make the bin, adjust the size if you like, and download.
Pockets too tight? Raise Clearance to 1.5–2 mm. Too loose? Lower it to 0.5 mm.

Print settings

  • 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 2–3 walls.
  • 15% infill is plenty; lite parts are mostly walls anyway.
  • No supports needed for any model on this site.
  • PLA or PETG both work. Clips grip best in PETG.
